Sack Tajuddin and Chong, Kit Siang urges Najib

DAP leader says neither of those in 'soap opera' are fit to be deputy ministers.

KUALA LUMPUR: The DAP’s Lim Kit Siang, stepping into the “soap opera” of two Barisan Nasional politicians sniping at each other, has urged the prime minister, Najib Razak, to dismiss the pair as not being worthy of being deputy ministers.

The pair are Chong Sin Woon, whom Lim described as “not fit to be deputy education minister” and Tajuddin Abdul Rahman who, Lim said, was “not fit to be deputy minister of any ministry”.

Chong and Tajuddin have been slanging each other since Tajuddin was reported to have said he would slap Malaysian Chinese if they took their complaints outside the country.

Lim said Tajuddin and Chong had proved that they were no better than spoiled brats, and he took issue with Tajuddin’s reported remark that he was only referring to “DAP Chinese”. Lim pointed out that Umno and Barisan Nasional politicians have claimed that 90 per cent of Malaysian Chinese supported the DAP!

He said Chong “in typically unthinking and foolish manner” had accused the national primary schools of breeding racism and had tried too hard in his eagerness to also attack DAP leaders “forgetting that he is the deputy education minister who should be defending the education system and BN policies.

He said Najib, who had warned BN politicians against raising racial temperatures, should sack them as deputy ministers to show that Cabinet members should be “of some quality, standard and substance.”
