Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah today claimed trial to the charge of failing to give police ten days' notice for the Bersih 4 mega rally on Aug 29 and 30.
She was charged under the Section 9 (1) Peaceful Assembly Act at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today.
She is the second to be charged over the 34-hour rally in Kuala Lumpur, which attracted at least 150,000 people.
Bersih vice chairperson Jannie Lasimbang was charged under the same Act last month, for organising the Sabah leg of the rally.
The rally among others called for the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, amid corruption allegations.
