Yet another nonsensical excuse from the police

YOURSAY ‘Go to police station to report that he was stopped by the police?’
Hang Babeuf: A man is out driving his car. While doing so, he is stopped by the police on some passing matter.
While questioning him on the spot there, they find he has some posters in his car asking "Whatever happened to the RM2.6 billion?"
The man wants to ask his PM a question. He thinks other people should also do so. What criminal act has he committed? What crime can he be suspected of perpetrating? What reasonable law has he infringed?
So why and on what grounds do the police ask, meaning require, him to go the police station and submit to their interrogation? This is crazy! Totally improper, insane, excessive and unjustifiable.
Wira: It is pretty obvious that the police are trying to find a way to harass anyone found with posters that are relevant, legal and speak the minds of the majority about where the RM2.6 billion went.
Commentable: This is precisely the problem plaguing the country right now - the "Mana RM2.6 billion?" issue.
The controversial issue is real and it is an inconvenient truth that Najib specifically, and Umno generally, have to deal with.
The PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) should not be involved in having a hand trying to obliterate the issue and harass people who have in their possession any item that puts such a question to light.
In this case, it is pure police harassment and such action must not be condoned by the public.
Legit: Go to police station to report that he was stopped by the police? How stupid is this.
So the police can stop you anywhere and you are supposed to go police station to report that you were stopped by the police?
Rupert16: Indeed, this is an indefensible excuse by the police. There is no reason whatsoever to take the person to the police station.
It shows that the police are abusing their power, and trying to harass and intimidate those they perceive as against the government.
The Analyser: Well, if stupid DAP will continue with their never-ending confrontation with Umno, they must expect to be harassed and victimised. You really are the Jews of the East, debasing yourselves for the thrill you get from being the underdog.
Instead, you could be thinking intelligently and by doing so you could short circuit Umno at every turn.
Fat chance of that though - after 50 years of negativity no one would ever expect you to start thinking positively.
Retnam: DAP has been doing a good job all these years. They are keeping Umno on its toes. If not for DAP, Umno would have sold Malaysia to China lock, stock and barrel, for a song.
Quigonbond: All that needs to be said has been said. The National Security Council (NSC) law will allow Umno to declare a security area, the council can do no wrong within that area, and there will be no inquest for any form of death.
This is not just Syria or Myanmar, it is Nazi Germany all over again. All BN MPs and senators should rot in hell.
Wg321: With the passing of the National Security Council (NSC) Bill, Najib as chairperson of the NSC has usurped the powers of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) to declare an emergency whether it is a localised emergency or a state emergency.
Besides, the Agong has been reduced to commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces in name only. No wonder lawyer Mathias Chang claimed that it is a "reversed coup d’état".
Ren Ai: If indeed the promoters of the NSC wished a no-nonsense, extremely tough law for would-be terrorists, then they would be deemed correct to pass this law. Anything to save the nation from the clutches of senseless terror, is welcome.
As bad as the opposition may make the government look in the passing of the NSC Bill, I am convinced that this is a correct and timely move.
Frankiepo: In rebutting the extensive powers given to the operation director, Minister in the Prime Minister Shahidan Kassim guaranteed that the government will not appoint a sadist as an operation director, and that the officer will surely do the best.
But we are having a greedy coward heading it.
And guess what the coward would do with all that power when he's being cornered for all the scandals he is involved with?
Wg321: Those MCA senators who supported the passing of the NSC Bill, please raise your hands. -Mkini
