Former Tabung Haji subsidiary CEO charged with CBT



A former chief executive of a Tabung Haji subsidiary claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today to five counts of criminal breach of trust totalling RM2.57 million, almost four years ago.
Nor Badli Munawir Mohamad Alias Lafti, 50, was charged with using his position as a CEO of TH Heavy Engineering Bhd to commit CBT on five cheques of RM400,000, RM570,000, RM430,000, RM600,000 and RM575,800 each between April and Oct 2013.

He allegedly committed the offence at the TH Heavy Engineering Fabricators Sdn Bhd office at Level 23, Tower B, Menara UOA in Bangsar.
Sessions judge Madihah Harullah fixed bail at RM400,000 with one surety after Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) DPP S Thangavelu offered bail at RM2.5mil.
Nor Badli's lawyer Kitson Foong had earlier asked for RM200,000 bail.
The judge also ordered the accused to surrender his passport and fixed March 15 for the case to be mentioned.- Mkini
