'DAP four' turn down BN's offer to dish dirt on the party

The four Malacca DAP lawmakers who quit the party last Sunday have turned down offers from BN to dish the dirt on their former party.
Kota Melaka MP Sim Tong Him said state Chief Minister Idris Haron had invited him and three assemblypersons who had quit, to speak at a BN forum.
"The chief minister (Idris) had openly invited us to speak ill about DAP, at a BN forum and we are saying 'no' to him.
"This is ridiculous. We have reiterated that we will never support BN, moreover Umno," he told Malaysiakini
He said Idris was merely trying to take advantage of the situation.
Idris had also reportedly invited the now independent lawmakers to join BN.
Sim, together with assemblypersons Goh Leong San (Duyong), Lim Jak Wong (Bachang) and Chin Choong Seong (Kesidang), resigned from the party on Feb 12, citing disappointment with DAP's alleged deviation from its socialist ideology and original struggle for a 'Malaysian Malaysia'.They have since drawn flak for abandoning ship at a time when the opposition is gearing for a battle to face BN in the upcoming general election.

"We were criticised as though we have been bought over and we acted (out of frustration) for losing in the state election. No, this is not the issue here and time will prove (our innocence).
"From what I see now, the matter has been diverted to something else. We want DAP to focus on the main issue, which is to address whether it had deviated from its original struggle," he said.
"If the party still sticks to the struggle, then it's good, but if it's not, then there is still time to change."- Mkini
