Media practitioners who rushed towards a dark blue Mercedes Benz car ferrying North Korean Embassy Counsellor in Malaysia Kim Yu-song at the wheel drew the ire of the embassy officer when the side mirror on the driver's side snapped.
The incident happened at 12.15pm today as Yu-song was reversing the car to leave the embassy compound.
The media practitioners had rushed towards the car after waiting there for hours for the latest development from the embassy on Kim Jong-nam's murder case.
Angered by the incident, the man got out of the car and in a raised voice asked the group of media practitioners, comprising local and foreign journalists, to own up.
"Who broke my side mirror? Get out from here," he said, while ignoring questions posed to him by the journalists.
Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was at the KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2) last Feb 13 to board a flight to Macau when two women suddenly appeared before him and wiped his face with the palms of their hands which contained a poisonous liquid.
Jong-nam sought help at a customer service counter at the airport and was rushed to the Putrajaya Hospital but died on the way.
He had come to Malaysia on Feb 6 and carried a passport bearing the name Kim Chol.
