PETALING JAYA: PAS Youth today lodged police reports in Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur against a former vice-president of the party for alleging that the Islamist party had received RM90 million from Umno.
The reports were filed separately in Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur and Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
Im a statement today, Federal Territories PAS Youth chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin said the report was filed against Husam for slander.
Khairil said as far as he knew, PAS had not received such a sum of money.
“So to Datuk Husam we say, don’t be a coward and clown around.
“Name the person who supposedly received the money so that we can track him down.”
Kelantan Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said Husam’s allegation was baseless and urged the police to investigate Husam for spreading false information.
“We urge the police to look into the matter immediately.”
In February, Husam at a ceramah in Kelantan claimed that PAS had received RM90 million from Umno.
The Kelantan Amanah adviser also alleged that the money was channelled through Affin Bank.
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has vehemently denied the allegation, which he said was “malicious”. He has also threatened Husam with legal action. -FMT
