IPOH: The daughter of the Malim Nawar police station chief has been killed in an accident involving four vehicles at KM27 of Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur.
The 33-year-old nurse, identified as Norizan Harun from Kampung Tersusun Tualang Sekah, Malim Nawar, died on the spot.
Her father SM Harun was the chief at the station.
Kampar OCPD Supt Ng Kong Soon said the accident, which happened at about 11.50am yesterday, involved a lorry and three cars.

He said initial investigations showed that the lorry heading to Ipoh from Kampar tried to avoid hitting the car driven by Norizan.
“The 26-year-old lorry driver from Manjoi in Ipoh was trying to go to the right side of the lane after Norizan’s vehicle entered his lane.
“But the lorry driver was unable to avoid it and crashed into the car before turning turtle, sliding and landing in the opposite direction of the road.
“The lorry also hit another two cars,” he added.
Supt Ng said the lorry driver and the drivers of the other two cars escaped unhurt.
