Dog abuser's business takes a bite, loses deal with US firm

Terry Yee, who was filmed abusing a dog in Puchong, has lost a business deal due to his action, according to a news report.
After viewing the video of the incident, American adventure equipment firm Osprey Packs has decided to remove the businessman's firm Tearproof Sdn Bhd as a distributor.
“In response to the incident, we are engaged in the process of terminating our relationship with this distributor completely.
"We made this decision because as a brand, we absolutely oppose any act of inhumane violence or neglect against animals,” said Osprey vice-president for product line and marketing Rob BonDurant in an email to The Malay Mail Online.
BonDurant, who described Yee's behaviour as “reprehensible”, said Osprey would appoint a new local distributor soon.
In the video clip, which went viral, the 30-year-old Singaporean had attacked the dog after it rushed at him while he was cycling and caused him to fall.

Apart from punching and kicking the dog, he had also repeatedly hit it with a helmet.
The police as well as the Department of Veterinary Services are investigating the matter.
Over the weekend, a group of people held a protest in Puchong, demanding that the authorities take action against Yee.
Yee has since apologised for his action.- Mkini
