I'm exposing corruption because of Allah, Rafizi tells Hadi

PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has expressed gratitude to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for reminding him about sins and divine rewards.
On the same note, the Pandan lawmaker explained that it is because of Allah that he is motivated to expose cases of corruption.
"I respect Hadi's view and that is his right. I thank him for the reminder about sins and rewards.
"I seek forgiveness from Allah all the time," Rafizi told Malaysiakini.
"In fact, it is because I fear Allah most, more than anything. This drives me to be vocal about integrity and corruption issues because that is what is ordained for any good Muslim MP to carry out," he added.
Rafizi also said while he is glad Hadi has forgiven him, the PKR leader pointed out that he never sought the PAS president's forgiveness in the first place.
"I am glad that he forgives me, though I did not apologise to him," he added.
Rafizi said this in response to Hadi's accusation that Rafizi was lying about someone close to PAS having allegedly received 1MDB funds.
'Beware of their trickery'
Describing the allegation as a "300 percent lie", Hadi said he forgives Rafizi for his "sins" but advised him to seek Allah's forgiveness as well.
Yesterday, Rafizi told Malaysiakini that the person who allegedly received the funds is a former top PAS leader, who served as a bridge between Umno and PAS.

He also promised to reveal evidence on this allegation later this week.
Rafizi also said that since he was willing to accept the PAS president's reminder, he hoped that Hadi would accept his as well.

"In the same spirit, I hope he accepts my reminder that PAS has to be cautious of (Prime Minister) Najib Abdul Razak's trickery, in that the Act 355 has been used as a leverage to ensure PAS does not criticise Najib on issues such as 1MDB," he said.
As for the evidence on the funds a PAS leader received, which he aims to disclose in public, Rafizi said he hopes Hadi would evaluate it in an objective manner.
"Because it is not too late to steer PAS away from working with Umno as that (working with Umno) is destructive to the rakyat and PAS," he added.- Mkini
