PKR vice-president says he will lodge a report with the MACC on April 14, adding that the people have a right to truthful information.
PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli is set to reveal the identity of the former top-ranking PAS leader who had allegedly received 1MDB funds from Prime Minister Najib Razak’s accounts.
In a statement today, he said he would name the person at a press conference at 1pm tomorrow. It will also be telecast live on his Facebook page.
“On April 14, I will lodge a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya at 11am,” he added.
The Pandan MP said he would leave it to Allah and Malaysians to judge his actions, adding that the people had the right to truthful information on the intentions and positions of all parties concerning corruption at the national level like that of the 1MDB scandal.
“This is so that they can make a fair judgement at the ballot box,” he added.
Two days ago, Rafizi had claimed that a former PAS leader had received 1MDB funds.
However, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had denied the allegation, calling it a “300% lie”.
Putrajaya has also denied any cover-up in the 1MDB issue. Several international investigations are currently probing the money trail from the state investment fund.
Najib has denied misusing public funds for personal gain. -FMT
