EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: EXPOSED IN MONEY PROTECTION RACKET, IGP CONFIRMS WILL RETIRE IN SEPT – BUT IF GUILTY, THAT WON’T SAVE HIM FROM JAIL

INSPECTOR-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar is due for mandatory retirement in September, Bernama reported today.
“Yes, I am going on mandatory retirement in September. I will turn 60,” he said after the handing over of  the duties of the director of the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department.
At the function, Deputy Commissioner Mahamad Akhir Darus, who retires on Sunday after serving the force since 1976, handed over duties to Brickfields police chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Sharul Othman Mansor.
Khalid joined the force as an inspector at the Police Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 5, 1976. He assumed the post of Inspector-General of Police on May 17, 2013.
