The MACC has secured a five-day remand order against Parti Warisan Sabah vice-president Peter Anthony and a 52-year-old businessman.
The duo were arrested yesterday evening at the Sabah MACC headquarters when they appeared to have their statements recorded. Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie presided the remand proceedings.
Both men were clad in orange MACC lock-up attire when they were brought to the Kota Kinabalu court.
Some 100 Warisan supporters gathered at the Kota Kinabalu court complex in the morning to greet Peter, but were forced to scatter due to the rain.

Their arrests follow MACC's announcement that they have seized over RM150 million in cash and assets following a series of raids.
Investigations are related to an alleged syndicate which makes claims to the government for projects that were never carried out.
In August, Peter, 46, told Borneo Post that allegations that his company made false claims for contracted works at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) were untrue.
At the time, he claimed that he was in possession of documents from UMS which proved that they were satisfied with works rendered by his company.
According to numerous press reports, Peter was once an officer at the Rural and Regional Development Ministry, which was once helmed by Warisan president Mohd Shafie Apdal.- Mkini
