SHOWOFF ‘DATUK SERI’ ARRIVES IN BENTLEY TO SURRENDER TO COPS AFTER RELA TRIO SPURN OFFER OF RM10K EACH TO DROP CASE

PETALING JAYA: The “Datuk Seri” who allegedly assaulted three members of the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) has given himself up.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat confirmed that the 29-year-old suspect surrendered at the Ampang Jaya police headquarters at around 4pm on Monday.
“He will be remanded tomorrow (Oct 31) at the Ampang magistrate’s court,” he said.
According to China Press, the man arrived at the Ampang district police headquarters at about 3.50pm today in a Bentley.
The suspect was accompanied by his lawyer and 10 others.
According to Berita Harian, the man would have to spend the night in detention and be subjected to remand proceedings tomorrow.

‘Datuk Seri’ tried to buy off Rela men with RM10,000
The Datuk Seri recorded assaulting three Rela personnel attempted to convince them to withdraw their police report by offering them RM10,000 each, according to the director-general of Rela.
Zulkifli Abidin told The Star Online that the person approached the superior officer of the three men on Friday and allegedly made the offer for them to drop their formal complaint against him.
“We will not be intimidated and will do no such thing. If he committed the crime, he should be prepared to face the consequences,” Zulkifli was quoted as saying.
He then presented the three Rela men with commendations for their conduct during the incident.
Zulkifli lauded them for their courage and patience while confronted by the Datuk Seri.
“I hope that this episode is never repeated and the police will take swift action,” he said.
In the incident, the Datuk Seri is seen berating and hitting the three Rela men for allegedly not giving him the “respect” he was expecting.
The Council of Federal Datuks have called for the man’s title to be revoked, while Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged the person to surrender to the police.
