SCARED HE’LL BE BLAMED BY NAJIB & ROSMAH, ‘CONFUSED’ ANIFAH LASHES OUT AT DR M’S FEAT IN SCOOPING ACCEPTANCE FROM 14 EU NATIONS

PAKATAN Harapan’s meeting with the group of European Union ambassadors invites foreign intervention, said Foreign Minister Anifah Aman.

Anifah said the meeting was an act of desperation by the opposition coalition that threatened the sovereignty of Malaysia.

“What is clear that the efforts taken by PH is desperate because it invites foreign intervention and pressure on the principles and democratic values that are practiced by Malaysians.

“This is (an act of) hypocrisy and a trick that is from Dr Mahathir Mohamad which puts the nation’s importance and its people (at risk) to gain power,” he said in a statement today. 

Dr Mahathir and a few other Pakatan Harapan leaders met with the EU ambassador contingent on Friday.

The meeting took place at the residence of Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the EU to Malaysia Maria Castillo Fernández.

Anifah said Putrajaya will take firm action on anyone in the foreign contingent who breaches the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961.

“The government will not hesitate in protecting the rights of the people and the country’s sovereignty as well as image, (including) taking stringent measures on whichever foreign party that breaks the norms and values of the convention,” Anifah said.

Fourteen ambassadors and three charges de affaires of EU countries were present to meet the PH representatives, who were led by Dr Mahathir.

Other PH leaders who attended were coalition secretary-general Saifuddin Abdullah, DAP chairman Tan Kok Wai and PKR vice-president Dr Xavier Jeyakumar.
