Nurul Izzah dismisses rumours she will be contesting in Permatang Pauh

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar has shot down claims that she will be contesting in Permatang Pauh.

"It is only a rumour," she told reporters when asked whether she would be standing as a candidate in the constituency on Wednesday (April 18).

Nurul Izzah said she had a meeting with PKR secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution on Tuesday to discuss seat allocations.

"We are foot soldiers and we want to be fielded so we can be of service to the party," she said, adding that the official announcement on candidates was forthcoming. - Star
