Najib remains calm, entertains guests at home despite ongoing raid

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is in a calm state despite ongoing police searches at his official residence in Taman Duta over the past few days.
He was even able to meet with several of his Umno colleagues and supporters at his Jalan Langgak Duta home this morning.
Among them were former minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said and former education minister Mahdzir Khalid, who later left the house without speaking to the media.
Lawyer M Puravalen, who left Najib's house at 1.10pm, told the waiting press that Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor looked good.
The prominent lawyer said he came in his capacity as Rosmah's lawyer, but declined to reveal if he would be representing her Rosmah in this matter.
"I can't comment, you have to ask the police," he said.
It is not immediately known if police have opened a file against Rosmah in relation to the ongoing raid of her house, which police have said is linked to their 1MDB probe.
Earlier, Selangor Non-Governmental Organisations Coalition chair Nazilah Idris also stated Najib seemed in good health.
Visitors after Friday prayers
In the evening, meanwhile, Najib attended Friday prayers at the Putra World Trade Centre, where Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported he was greeted by more Umno leaders and supporters.
He was accompanied by acting Umno deputy president Hishammuddin Hussein and information chief Annuar Musa.
More Umno leaders showed up in solidarity with Najib after Friday prayers.
Pahang Umno Youth leader Mohd Shahar Abdullah urged the authorities to focus only on their probe into 1MDB, instead of other things.
"Just focus on appropriate issue, not other irrelevant issue (sic)," he said without explaining further.
The BN Paya Besar MP said that justice must be given to the former prime minister.
Earlier, Umno Supreme Council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Tabung Haji chair Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, Kubang Pasu MP Mohd Johari Baharom and former Kedah menteri besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah also visited Najib.
Officers from the commercial crime department began their search at Najib's residence on Wednesday night in search of any evidence relevant to their probe on the beleaguered Najib-founded state investment fund 1MDB.
Aside from the house, Bukit Aman commercial crime department director Amar Singh Ishar Singh said his team was also searching several Najib-linked units at the upscale Pavilion Residence in Kuala Lumpur and the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya.
Among items seized were an astounding 72 travel suitcases (picture) filled with cash and jewellery, and hundreds of luxury handbags from one of the Pavilion Residence units early this morning.
The full estimated value of the haul is still unknown. -Mkini
