United Kingdom Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson paid a courtesy call on new Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu at Wisma Pertahanan today.
Williamson arrived at 8.50 am and was welcomed by a guard-of-honour mounted by 108 officers and men of the Royal Malay Regiment led by Major Mohd Izhan Ahmad Rashidi.
The Defence Secretary’s visit was aimed at, among others, strengthening the ties between the two countries as well as exchanging and sharing views and information.
Also present at the meeting were Chief of Defence Forces Gen Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of Army Gen Zulkiple Kassim, Chief of Navy Admiral Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin and Chief of Air Force Gen Affendi Buang.
