KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 — Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) today confirmed its former Treasury representative Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer one of its board members.
“Lembaga Tabung Haji announces that Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer one of our board members.
“He has held the position since 2011 under the capacity of the Treasury representative. The vacancy will be filled by the new Treasury representative as stated in the Tabung Haji Act 1995,” the board said in a statement.
Mohd Irwan left LTH on May 14, the same day he was removed as Treasury secretary-general and transferred to the Public Service Department (PSD) where he will work till June 13.
He is also no longer sitting on the board of Bank Negara Malaysia.
Baling MP from Umno Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim was previously announced to have vacated his chairmanship of LTH.
Tabung Haji is one of the statutory bodies that answers to the Prime Minister's Department.
