ROS ‘ROGUE’ CHIEF SURAYATI, WHO WAS ACCUSED OF POWER ABUSE, TRANSFERRED OUT – MASYATI ABANG IBRAHIM IS NEW REGISTRAR OF SOCIETIES D-G

PUTRAJAYA – Civil Sector Transformation Division senior consultant Masyati Abang Ibrahim has been appointed as the Registrar of Societies director-general, effective May 23.

In a brief statement today, Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim said Masyati will replace Surayati Ibrahim, who has since been transferred to the Public Services Department on May 22.

“Masyati has vast experience in the fields of administration and management,” he said.

A department under the Home Ministry, the RoS handles matters including the registration of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and political parties.
