Flights from and to Bali suspended due to Mt Agung eruptions

KUALA LUMPUR: All flights from and to Bali, Indonesia were cancelled or postponed on Thursday due to the eruptions by Mt Agung.

Low-cost carrier Air Asia said on Thursday that several of its flights schedule to arrive from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Denpasar were affected.

 flights which were cancelled were AK370 from Kuala Lumpur to Bali,  AK371 from Bali to KL, AK378 from KL to Bali and AK379 from Bali to KL.

AirAsia said affected guests would be notified of their flight status via email and SMS.

It encouraged all guests to update their contact details at airasia.com to ensure that they are notified of any updates to their flights. 

AirAsia said guests whose flights were cancelled are entitled to choose one of the following service recovery options could move their flights.

Under this option, they could change to a new travel date on the same route within 14 calendar days from original flight time without additional cost, subject to seat availability.

The second option was to retain the value of your fare in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel with AirAsia. The online credit account is valid for booking within 90 calendar days from the date of issue.
