MACC raids DBKL, seizes documents

The MACC raided the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) today and seized eight trolleys of documents.
Several MACC officials arrived at DBKL at 2pm and left around 4pm, as reported by Malay Mail.
However, when asked, they only said they were there to get documents and declined to comment further.
Yesterday, KL mayor Mohd Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz said DBKL has scrapped 10 projects with an estimated value of RM1 billion.
“Got a few more projects I chopped.
“Easily almost 10 (projects)... almost RM1 billion in value.
“Whichever projects which have yet to be tendered out, I have chopped,” Amin said after meeting with the Council of Eminent Persons at the Ilham Tower in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
When contacted about the raid today, Amin only said DBKL would provide their cooperation to MACC.
"DBKL will continue to cooperate with MACC and help with their investigation," he told Malaysiakini in a WhatsApp message. -Mkini
