Sex video: Cybersecurity M'sia lending digital forensics expertise

Cybersecurity Malaysia has been roped in by the authorities to help with the investigation into the sex videos allegedly implicating Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
However, its CEO Amirudin Abdul Wahab (photo above) declined to elaborate on whether they were asked to analyse the videos or track down those responsible for its release.
"We at Cybersecurity Malaysia have digital forensics expertise.
"There's audio, video, multimedia, computer (forensics), so it depends on what the authorities want.
"I don't want to go into the details," Amirudin told reporters on the sidelines of the Cyber Defence Conference 2019 in Kuala Lumpur today.
The videos purporting to feature Azmin and another man were released last week.
Subsequent to the release of the video clips, Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz made a confession claiming to be the other man and that his partner was Azmin.
The minister denied the allegations as libel meant to destroy his political career.
Meanwhile, at a separate tech conference, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission was also mum on its findings on the video.
"We can’t update anything because at the moment it is under investigation, so everything is confidential, unfortunately.
"We are still investigating together with the police task force," MCMC chairperson Al Ishal Ishak told reporters on the sidelines of the Malaysian Tech Week 2019 conference.
Previously, experts engaged by Australian media outfit SBS News said the sex videos showed no signs of being doctored, but they could not confirm if Azmin was the man in the video.
Al Ishal declined to comment on these findings. - Mkini
