Anyway, we will never know unless we test whether Mahathir will appoint Anwar as the new Deputy Prime Minister. And that can only happen once Wan Azizah resigns and leaves that post vacant. And if Mahathir does not appoint Anwar as the new Deputy Prime Minister, then we can safely assume Mahathir will also not appoint Anwar as the PM8.

There are two schools of thought. Anwar Ibrahim’s and PKR’s school of thought is that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will definitely appoint the husband of Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the next Prime Minister or PM8.

Then those who have clarity of thought and power of reasoning believe Anwar will have to wait until hell freezes over before he is ever going to become the Prime Minister.

There is, of course, one way to test which school of thought is correct. All Wan Azizah has to do is to resign her Deputy Prime Minister’s post and leave it empty. What will Mahathir do then? Will he leave that post empty? Will he appoint Anwar to that post? Or will Mahathir appoint another person to that post instead?

Will Mahathir appoint Anwar as the new DPM if Wan Azizah resigns?

Yes, there are three possible scenarios (four if Mahathir dissolves Parliament to make way for fresh elections). Malaysia will not have any Deputy Prime Minister. Anwar Ibrahim will be Malaysia’s new Deputy Prime Minister. Mahathir will appoint someone else, for example Azmin Ali, as Malaysia’s new Deputy Prime Minister.

Anwar was actually worried that scenario number three would happen. That was why he engineered Azmin’s downfall using that gay porn video. But has Azmin fallen? Has that gay porn video disqualified Azmin from becoming the next Deputy Prime Minister? Or has it accelerated Anwar’s downfall instead?

Anyway, once Wan Azizah resigns, Mahathir will be forced to do something. And that “something” will be a good indication as to whether Mahathir is really going to appoint Anwar as PM8. And if Anwar is not appointed the new Deputy Prime Minister to replace Wan Azizah, then Anwar and his people can make their move to oust Mahathir and Lim Kit Siang can send him to jail for all the crimes he committed in his 22 years as PM4, as what Kit Siang promised the country for 35 years.

Actually, Mahathir is aware that Kit Siang is after his head. So, to get DAP to swing and abandon Anwar, Mahathir has offered the Penang State Government RM46 billion of federal money to finance its Transport Master Plan. That means Penang may no longer need to sell three of its man-made islands to raise money.

That is actually a good deal. Anwar’s head for RM46 billion. And without DAP, and with PKR split in half, Anwar will not have the army to oust Mahathir.
