Legislators' meeting with Sam Rainsy an informal get together, says Nurul Izzah

Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah has confirmed that Cambodian opposition leader Sam Rainsy will meet MPs in parliament tomorrow.
"Yes, contents (of the letter) are legit. The meeting will take place in parliament," she told Malaysiakini.
The news of the meeting made its rounds on social media after an aide the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) vice-president Mu Socha shared the letter dated Nov 9 via Twitter.
Seng Mungbunrong tweeted that the meeting will discuss various socio-development methods and the best way to pursue them.

Asked to further explain the meeting, Izzah said: "It's an informal get-together with Malaysian legislators."
Asked if she wants the government to stand behind CNRP and Rainsy who is now in Malaysia, Izzah answered: "We follow the official position as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [...] we are inviting (Rainsy) as legislators."
Self-exiled Rainsy and his wife, who possessed French passports, arrived in Malaysia on Saturday, several days after Sochua and two others entered the country on Thursday.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, who has been in power for more than 20 years, has accused opposition leaders who are planning to return to the country of wanting to stage a coup.
Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah had said that Malaysia couldn't fulfil Cambodia's request to extradite CNRP leaders as they did not enter the country using a Cambodian passport.
Sochua and two others came using American passport, thus allowing them to enter the country, but Saifuddin hoped that the CNRP leaders would not use the country as a platform to mobilise their political movement. - Mkini
