Penang Amanah, DAP share similar views Harapan infighting must stop

Penang Amanah and DAP have expressed similar views that Pakatan Harapan should work together to improve the coalition's lot if they do not wish to be a one-term government.
In a press statement issued today, state Amanah chief Roslan Ahmad urged Harapan leaders not to challenge one another, whether among party or component leaders, openly.
"All arguments should be conducted at the discussion table behind closed doors," said Roslan.
"We are of the same views with Amanah president and Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu who called for Harapan leaders to work harder to improve the country's economy so all may enjoy better lives," he added.

Roslan (below, front left) said Harapan's focus should not be disrupted by racial and religious issues which are purposely played up by certain quarters.
Instead, Harapan should focus more on fulfilling its election manifesto in 2020, Roslan added.
"We need to be the winners who raise up people's issues instead of being good at fighting with each other," Roslan said.
"The people can judge wisely and the message they send via the ballot boxes should be taken seriously," Roslan added.
He was referring to the just concluded Kimanis by-election in Sabah where Harapan lost by more than 2,000-votes to BN.
Roslan was responding to DAP vice-chairperson and Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow who also wants all Harapan components parties to "buck up collectively and individually".
Chow (above) said this in Penang today when responding to a news report quoting Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad as saying Pakatan Harapan risked becoming a “one-term government” if infighting is not addressed.
Chow said DAP will take heed of Mahathir's kind advice as any challenges effecting the people's support must be addressed effectively.
Mahathir had since clarified that international newswire Reuters, which ran the report, was entitled to its “opinion”.
“I don't think Harapan will be a one-term government," he said.  - Mkini
