KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has relaxed several standard operating procedures (SOP) as the state is undergoing the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Among the SOP are those involving religious services, dining-in at eateries and longer business operating hours as well as some sports activities.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun reminded the public to continue observing the SOP to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The state will allow "akad nikah" ceremony at religious offices with a maximum of 20 people in attendance.

Similarly, wedding ceremonies for non-Muslims are also permitted with 20 people in attendance and physical distancing at houses of worship, the National Registration Department, or Non-Islamic Religious Association premises.

Business premises and activities such as restaurants, retail stores, food courts, food trucks, vendors, laundromats, petrol stations, and supermarkets can operate until 10pm.

Depending on the table size, only half of the table capacity is allowed for dine-ins.

Non-contact sports and recreational activities with no more than 10 people are allowed.

Sports outlets operators are required to provide proper training schedules by keeping to a maximum of 10 people in their training spaces.

Today, Sabah recorded 397 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, while 356 more patients have recovered. - NST
