KUALA LUMPUR: A fatal accident occurred after a motorcyclist fell off his motorcycle due to a pothole on the road.
"We were notified of the accident at 7.30am today which occurred after the motorcyclist lost control of his bike at Jalan Tengah heading towards Mid Valley.
"Preliminary investigations showed that the motorcyclist was riding over a pothole, leading to the victim falling to the ground," said Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Asst Comm Zulkefly Yahya in a statement Sunday (Jan 3).
He added that the victim died at the scene of the accident.
The victim has been identified as 75-year-old Ho Yan Yee. - Star
