MELAKA: A medical student has tested positive for Covid-19, say state health authorities.
Melaka health and anti-drug committee chairman Datuk Rahmad Mariman said the student from a local medical college is currently being treated at Melaka Hospital after testing positive on Thursday (Jan 21).
"The college has now switched to online classes due to the Covid-19 scare," he said on Friday (Jan 22).
Rahmad said the college management has also embarked on immediate sanitisation works.
"The medical student was not linked to any clusters here," he said.
He added that the state Health Department is investigating the claims on a teacher who tested positive at a college in Durian Daun here. - Star
