Penang Pakatan Harapan announced that is it now formally registered under the Societies Act, which will further improve cooperation among its component parties.
As the application was submitted through the Harapan leadership, the Registrar of Societies (ROS) certificate was presented to Penang Harapan in a meeting with Harapan chief secretariat Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on Oct 22.
“Following the official formation of Penang Harapan, a closer cooperation and relationship can be formed among the Harapan component parties (in Penang), that is PKR, DAP and Amanah,” said Penang Harapan leadership council’s secretary Lim Hui Ying in a statement today.
The Penang Harapan leadership is headed by chairperson Chow Kon Yeow, who is also the Penang chief minister.
His deputies are Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik and Roslan Ahmad who are from PKR and Amanah respectively.
PKR’s Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin is the treasurer, whereas DAP’s Lee Wei Seang is the Penang Harapan Youth chief.
