Covid-19 (Dec 7): 4,965 new cases

 

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 4,965 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,667,999.

Nationally, the number of hospital admissions in the last seven days has declined by 31.7 percent compared to the preceding week.

However, bucking the national trend, hospital admissions in Perlis (+221.2 percent), Terengganu (+50.6 percent), Pahang (+13.2 percent) and Malacca (+11.9 percent) rose during the same period.

The Health Ministry will only publish today's breakdown of new cases by states after midnight on its CovidNow portal.

The breakdown by states for yesterday (Dec 6), where 4,262 new cases were reported, is as follows:
