PETALING JAYA: The flooded and landslip-hit portions of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) have been reopened to traffic.
The concessionaire for both the highway and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) said cleaning and repair works had been completed. LPT1 had been fully reopened to traffic about two weeks ago.
In a statement, Anih Berhad said motorists heading for Karak were now allowed to pass through the toll plaza instead of having to make a U-turn at the toll plaza previously.

When the floods struck on Dec 18, about 450 motorists were left stranded at KLK because of landslides and rising floodwaters, leaving the Karak-Temerloh stretch closed to traffic. - FMT
