 WHATS IN IT FOR ME?

rare public appearance, crocodile delivered speech to thank the fox
the croc repeatedly addressed the fox as “mi amore”
the fox was stoic and unmoved 
the croc reminisced how they had both met the buffalo 
which started a long hungry relationship 

When it was his turn to speak the fox went off the rails addressing the croc
he never stopped threatening the croc who ate everything in the river
I’ve been very tough with him with regards to his eating everything 
ever since the buffalo privatised the river to him
 

I’m very concerned at the poverty of our village cows, who also get eaten
the fox cited the croc's river monopoly as crony capitalism under buffalo's rule
the croc had eaten billions of fish
just because buffalo favoured the croc with sole rights to everything 
while most village cows remained skinny and poor
the croc and his gangs hold 95% of the river
the croc also controls 30% of all other rivers flowing into the valley 

buffalo had admitted he gave the croc monopoly over the river

The croc rarely appears in public or speaks openly
today was the first time the croc exposed his ties with the fox
it’s important that I tell this untold story the croc joked 
Not surprisingly no one was surprised, least of all the skinny village cows

Today also marks first time the croc and fox appeared publicly together 
the fox claimed he had privately “reprimanded” the croc over the monopoly
the fox had vowed to dismantle monopolies  
but later conceded he could not 
because it could “spook” other monopoly crocodiles
However the fox told the croc to pay 60 million fish
but the skinny village cows dont eat fish, so they are still skinny
 

Finally  the sly croc  invited the fox to swim in the river. 
The fox quickly refused. 
The fox told the crocodile just bring me my share of fish. Lots of it. 
You can keep the river. 

Tafsir al cerita:

Maksudnya tuan-tuan, si-musang sudah berpakat dengan si-buaya untuk dikekalkan monopoli si-buaya menjaga keseluruhan sungai dengan pelbagai rezeki, harta dan niaga. 

Dulu si-musang memekik dan melolong pasal monopoli cekik darah si-buaya dan perhubungan rapat si-buaya dengan si-kerbau penghulu segala lembu di kampong untuk tujuan menarik sokongan para lembu untuk merampas kerusi  penghulu kampong. 

Sekarang apabila sudah jadi penghulu segala lembu di kampong maka si-musang kekalkan monopoli si-buaya pula.  

Pasti dengan janji satu untuk kau, satu untuk aku. Atau satu untuk kau, dua untuk aku.  Si-buaya dibenarkan baham dan telan apa pun yang dia mahu, termasuk lembu-lembu kampong.

Buaya kenyang, si-musang kenyang, lembu-lembu kampong kurus dan miskin.

Conclusion:

Apa kesudahan cerita ini? Penghulu kampong tidak akan kekal. Sebab walaupun kurus dan miskin, adat kampong memberikan lembu-lembu kampong peluang memilih penghulu baru setiap 22 bulan. Atau lapan bulan sekali - bergantung kepada kemarau atau hujan. 

Lembu-lembu kampong makin sedar mereka dilembukan. Sejak berpuluh tahun mereka kekal kurus, miskin, lembap dan dipijak-pijak. Anak bini mereka pun kurus, lembap, dipijak-pijak dan kerap dibaham oleh buaya. Dan dipermainkan oleh musang. 

Aliran sungai perlu dialihkan sama sekali.
