WEIRD SITUATION IN UKRAINE

 There is a weird situation in the Ukraine War. There is terrible carnage with over 700 Ukrainian troops getting killed everyday. The so called Ukrainian Counteroffensive that is now past three months has failed miserably. Nothing has been achieved except 70,000 Ukrainian troops died in the three months alone. The total death toll of Ukrainian troops is now 450,000 or more. They really cannot sustain these types of losses anymore. 

Videos show Ukrainian troops throwing down their weapons and surrendering in platoon strength to the Russians. Over 10,000 Ukrainians troops have surrendered in the past three months.

The Russians treat Ukrainian prisoners with much duty of care - in the clear hope of enticing more Ukrainian troops to surrender. The other option is to suffer getting killed at over 700 deaths a day. The choice is becoming very clear to the Ukrainians.

There is also something else that is weird. Russian reports say 5.2 MILLION Ukrainian speaking citizens of Ukraine have crossed the border into Russia. Seeking refuge from the war including young men avoiding joining the Ukrainian army and getting killed.  Other western sources say the number is smaller at 1.2 MILLION Ukrainians crossing the border into Russia !! Yup 1.2 MILLION is smaller than 5.2 MILLION but it is still OVER A MILLION. All these people are being well treated with housing, food, medical assistance and even jobs provided inside Russia.

In a latest twist on Friday President Putin has signed a law that any Ukrainian even without a valid passport can freely cross the border into Russia. They need only show any type of official identification like driver's licenses, student passes etc. This refers to Ukrainian speaking people. This has already been going on (hence that 5.2 million figure). 

This is really strange because the people of one country (Ukraine) are moving by the millions into the other country (Russia) with whom they are at war !!

The frontlines are not moving at all. The Russians are staying in their positions along the frontlines. Everything seems frozen  except that Ukrainian troops keep being sent to the frontlines to be blown up by the Russians.

The Russians have complete control of the air especially the 'drone' air space. All sorts of Russian drones, of all shapes and sizes are constantly in the air searching the ground for Ukrainian tanks and troops. The moment any Ukrainian tank or troop movements are detected by the drones live video streaming with accurate GPS coordinates are shared instantly with the nearest Russian foot soldiers armed with shoulder fired missiles,   with Russian tank commanders in the area, with artillery units (often located more than 10 km away), with Russian helicopters and also aircraft on patrol in the area. Ground commanders then call in the most suitable weapon, air strike or artillery strike to hit at the GPS coordinates. The Russians have perfected this drone technique with the time from detection by drone to strikes landing on targets taking mere minutes. Hence the extremely high casualties among Ukrainian troops and forces on the front lines. They are being annihilated.

This insane loss of human lives has to stop. 

The Russians have also begun the overproduction and deployment of the 1500 kg (1.5 metric tonne or 3,300 pound) glide bomb that is causing great havoc upon the Ukrainians.

 

The bomb is delivered by the SU34 Fullback fighter bomber (below). The gliding bomb - it has winglets and  GPS guidance - can be released up to 45 miles (72 km) away from the intended target. This is slightly further than the distance by road from Ipoh to Taiping. The bomb can be released from a height above Ipoh and it will accurately hit a target in Taiping. This means the airplane can avoid air defense missiles because it does not have to enter too close to the target area. The SU34 can carry THREE of these bombs which can be targeted separately and released all at the same time.

Although dropped from a distance of 72 km away the bomb is accurate to within 16 feet of its target.  But this is academic because the 3,300 pound or 1.5 tonne bomb creates a 20 feet deep crater with an 80 feet radius and has an effective destructive radius of 500 feet (or 1000 feet diameter). With that type of destructive power the bomb does not need to hit the target exactly on the head. The bomb is much cheaper to produce than the cheapest cruise missile and carries a massive payload.

This insane loss of human lives in Ukraine has to stop. If it is any consolation more Ukrainian people will cross over into Russia to save themselves. Obviously the Ukrainian people want no part in this war.

This is a British American War against Germany, Europe and Russia in that order. It has nothing to do with the Ukrainian people.
