PETALING JAYA: Police arrested 10 foreigners and four Malaysian men in Bintulu, Sarawak, in a special anti-smuggling operation that led to the seizure of RM35 million worth of items, including nearly 200,000 litres of subsidised diesel.
The raids led to the seizure of 188,750 litres of diesel, 50 intermediate bulk containers, 10 fuel pumps and hoses, two tugboats, a fuel tanker vessel, a bonded truck, two vans, a skid tank, 7,172 litres of alcohol and 250,000 cigarettes.
Bukit Aman internal security and public order department director Kamarudin Din said the department has arrested 185 people and conducted 82 raids so far this year in busting smuggling activities. - FMT
