DASAR ZAMAN MAHAZALIM MAHAFIRAUN BERSAMBUNG - KAUM MILLIONAIRE BOLEH DAPAT AP

 'minimum paid-up capital RM1m'

https://www.nst.com.my/business/economy/2024/06/1065046/any-bumiputera-company-can-apply-aps-july-1#google_vignette

  • Miti’s efforts to increase inclusivity
  • Eligible Bumi companies no experience in automotive can apply
  • AP for import and sale of vehicles effective July 1, 2024
  • Eligible companies
  • 100% Bumi-owned (OSTB: Ali Baba ken or kennot?)
  • private limited company
  • minimum paid-up capital RM1 million
  • in operations at least 2 years (OSTB : tadi cakap no experience boleh)
  • to attract more Bumi into automotive industry
  • gomen's objective Bumi socio-economic agenda
  • Miti said Open AP policy implemented since 1970
  • among Bumi policies maintained till today
  • as outlined under New Economic Policy

My Comments:

  • Miti said Open AP policy implemented since 1970
  • among Bumi policies maintained till today
  • as outlined under New Economic Policy

OSTB :  Congratulations. UMNO/BN got kicked out in 2018 because of these failed polcies. In 2022 Bersatu lost the elections. PKR also lost the elections. All because of these same failed policies. And now you are continuing with the same failed policies? Tak ada idea baru ke?

If a Bumi company can pump in RM1.0 million Paid Up Capital he is already a millionaire. Itu sudah inclusive dah.  He is already a succesful bumi millionaire. Nak AP lagi? Kasi chan lah kepada orang lain.

  • What about giving the non-millionaire Malays a chance?
  • What about those who have only RM10,000? Or only RM5,000?
  • The median EPF savings of a Malay is about RM7,000.
  • Berapa kerat Melayu yang ada simpan duit RM1.0 Million?
  • Maksudnya this policy is aimed at the Malay elites.
  • The kaum elit Melayu who happen to have an extra RM1.0m spare change.
Plus they are not members of the 'Satu Bini Tua Dan Satu Bini Mahal'  Club.

But I have a question for MITI. What about the remaining 34 million Malaysian citizens?
The remaining 34 million Malaysians who are consumers and who pay through their nose to buy a car in Malaysia.  What about us?

How does this useless AP policy benefit us? (I will explain why it is useless).

Lets look at the Toyota Camry.

The top picture is the latest 2025 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid in California.  But it has not arrived yet because it is the 2025 model. The selling price in California will be US$30k. Or about RM141,000.

The picture below that says that in Malaysia the Toyota Camry sells for RM220k.

That is about RM80,000  or 57% more than the price Americans will pay for the latest Camry Hybrid in California.

Rentals for car showrooms in California are certainly much higher than in Malaysia. The average salary in California is US$75,004 per year or RM352,000. America is a very high cost country.

Despite all that they can still sell their Toyota Camry at 57% cheaper than in Malaysia.

Woi MITI, what the hell are you doing?
Why are car prices so expensive in Malaysia.

We dont want cheap cars.
Kita tidak mahu kereta murahan.
We just want to pay the same world market prices for all our cars.

If the Toyota Camry sells for RM141,000 in California then it should sell for much less here in Malaysia because here our car showroom rentals and our salaries and wages costs are a fraction of that in California.

During the zaman Mahafiraun and Mahazalim (according to the Reformasi nutjobs) Dr Mahathir wanted to "protect" kereta nasional Proton and Perodua. So Dr M raised the barriers on imported cars (import duties, taxes, levies, APs, bla bla). Imported cars became very expensive. Just to protect "kereta nasional" Proton.

But now there is no more "kereta nasional".  Proton went bust and was bought over by Geely of China. Perodua is owned by Daihatsu / Toyota. Meaning there is no more "kereta nasional".

So why keep protecting Geely / Proton and Daihatsu / Perodua? It is actually protection. The high import barriers on imported cars (import duties, taxes, levies, APs, bla bla) only helps Geely / Proton and Daihatsu / Perodua.

So for example an RM141k Toyota Camry (California price) sells for RM220k here in Malaysia.  Hello MITI, how does that help 34 million Malaysians?

And now Bumi millionaires with spare cash RM1.0 million can set up companies and apply for APs to import cars. Will that lower the selling prices of imported cars? I dont think so.  Because the import barriers (import duties, taxes, levies, APs, bla bla) still remain in place.

Now MITI wants to help Malay millionaires get APs.
Hello MITI, how does that help 34 million Malaysian consumers?

Menteri MITI, come 2027 we are going to kick you out.
Better look for a new job.
