KUALA LUMPUR: The results of applications for admission to public tertiary education institutions will be announced next week, Friday, says the Higher Education Ministry.
In a statement today, the ministry said Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia graduates who applied for programmes at public universities, polytechnics, community colleges and public skills training institutions (ILKA) for certificate, foundation and diploma level can check their results from noon on June 28 until 5pm on July 7.
They can check their results at the following sites https://jpt.utm.my; https://jpt.uum.edu.my; https://jpt.unimas.my; https://jpt.ums.edu.my and http://jpt.umt.edu.my.
They can also check via UPUPocket using mobile devices.
The candidates then have from June 29 to July 7 to either confirm or reject the offers at the respective institutions or ILKA website.
"Official offer letters will be issued by the institution and ILKA to successful candidates starting June 29, once the candidates have confirmed their acceptance within the specified period.
"Only applicants who are unsuccessful or have only received a certificate-level study offer may submit an appeal application through UPUOnline® for admission to public universities and polytechnics at https://upu.mohe.gov.my within 10 days from June 28, at 12pm until July 7, 4, at 5pm
"Appeals to Community Colleges and ILKA can be made directly to the respective institutions without going through UPUOnline.
"The offers for the 2024/2025 Academic Session are FINAL, and any request for a change of study programme and institution is not allowed. The selection policy for appeals is subject to the availability of places offered according to the study programmes after the new student registration process is completed," it said.
