MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki says his officers were able to contact Jovian Mandagie to arrange for the recording of his statement in Jakarta, Indonesia.

MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said his officers have managed to contact Jovian, Ismail’s former son-in-law, to arrange for the recording of his statement, Harian Metro reported.
“We expect to take Jovian’s statement several days after Hari Raya Haji,” Azam was quoted as saying. Hari Raya Haji is likely to fall on June 6.
Azam previously said Jovian’s statement was needed to verify claims made by Ismail, who had declared his assets in February.
He said Ismail had claimed there were assets linked to Jovian, who was previously married to Nina Sabrina Ismail Sabri before their divorce in 2023.
MACC has so far taken the statements of 57 people in its investigation into the discovery of RM170 million in cash and 16kg of gold bars worth millions of ringgit, which were seized in raids on the residences of four men, and three other premises believed to be “safe houses”.
A moneychanger was also arrested as part of the investigation into Ismail. - FMT
