Shooting the messenger
“I advise MCW to listen to my video in its entirety, not only for a second or two … I’m a lawyer; hence I’ll always ensure that my information is valid, true and accurate as opposed to one from a third party or someone who has np connection with the case.”
In this regard, Siti Kasim reiterated that the information came from Ling’s lawyers (she has two of whom one is based in Malaysia and the other in Singapore).
“Following my exposé which might be picked up by some media outlets, it was later revealed that Ling did take action against MACC,” asserted the Orang Asli advocate while wondering why MCW “isn’t training its gun on MACC but instead chose to shoot the messenger in me”.
“The messenger has told you what has transpired … This is a problem with the country for until and unless an issue becomes viral, there’ll be no response from the relevant authorities,” fumed Siti Kasim.
“It could be that MCW is in good terms with MACC, hence need to say something to save their friends.
“Otherwise, why is it shooting at the messenger for whatever I said has been confirmed by the lawyers in addition to Ling’s very own legal action against MACC for what has been done on her during her interrogation process.”
Challenging MCW to reveal its funding sources, Siti Kasim added:
Are you obtaining any form of financial aid or sponsorship from somewhere and what is your actual role? Is it to deflect/defend any negative sentiments towards MACC or government agencies (instead of calling on them to probe further).
I don’t get paid even a single sen … I talked about this simply because this is a public interest issue and also to seek justice for Ling who is the victim
Before you attack me, bear in mind that I’ve done all the necessary due diligence to speak the truth.
What’ve you done to fight corruption which is so endemic in Malaysia now? … You’ve no shame and no integrity so don’t talk too much la … Always remember that I’ll not let you put me down that easily.” – May 10, 2025
Editor’s Note: Meanwhile, MACC has denied that the “Chinese MACC deputy director” in question is its deputy director (private sector investigation) Wong Yun Fui following the circulation of a viral TikTok video by @mediuahubmalaysia who took the cue from Siti Kasim’s exposé (she did not mention name).
“An internal investigation confirmed that the officer in question was not involved in the investigation related to Pamela Ling Yueh and has never met her,” the graft buster pointed out in a media statement yesterday (May 9).
“The said officer has lodged a police report and filed an official complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) regarding the video which he described as defamatory and malicious.
“He strongly denies all accusations and has left the matter to the relevant authorities for further investigation into the individual responsible for spreading the false claims.”
