The noodles, tofu and tempe were meant for nationwide distribution, according to the domestic trade and cost of living ministry.

The enforcement director of the domestic trade and cost of living ministry’s Kedah branch, Nizam Jamaludin, said the raid was conducted by ministry officials together with personnel from the Kuala Muda health office, the state Islamic religious affairs department, and the police.
The officials seized the products, estimated to be worth about RM87,000, following checks on the factory and a store, Kosmo reported.
“The factory processed (the products) for distribution to stores nationwide,” Nizam said.
He said the case is being investigated under the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) Order 2011. -FMT
