The woman, an MM2H visa holder, says she was in her condominium apartment when she was hit by the stray bullet on Monday.

Penang police chief Azizee Ismail said the woman, 67, a resident under the Malaysia My Second Home scheme, stated she was at home when she heard a bang and was injured.
“The woman, who lives with her son, received treatment at a private hospital and was kept in the ward for a day before lodging a police report yesterday.
“A forensics team found blood splatter at the scene, believed to be from the victim,” Azizee said in a statement. No bullets were found nor signs of a gunshot at the apartment.
A report by the doctor who treated the victim said the woman suffered a laceration above her eyebrow which was believed to be caused by a blunt object. However, there were no gunshot wounds on any part of her body.
Azizee said preliminary investigations also found several inconsistencies in the victim’s statement. Further investigations are being held. - FMT
