
PUTATAN: Early voting for the 17th Sabah General Election at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Kem Lok Kawi got off to a smooth start despite the gloomy weather this morning.
A total of 2,569 military personnel and 528 spouses are expected to cast their votes at the early voting centre.
Checks showed that Election Commission staff arrived at around 6.30am to make preparations before the centre opened.
Although the voting centre only opened at 8am, many military personnel and their spouses began arriving as early as 7am.
Some even brought their children along with them.
Among the first to arrive was the 5th Division Commander, Major General Datuk Noorrul Azril Ariffin, who was accompanied by his wife, Datin Noriza Md Rashid. - NST
