BALING: A block at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Baling was gutted by fire this morning, with thick smoke billowing from the upper section.
Based on initial information, no one was hurt as the incident happened on a school holiday.
Baling Fire and Rescue Station chief Assistant Fire Superintendent Zulkhairi Mat Tanjil said the station received the alert at 10.46am by members of the public.
"A team was deployed to the scene. They were assisted by a water tanker from the Pengkalan Hulu station in Perak and volunteer firefighters.
Operations were still underway as of noon. - NST
