FRIDAY LITE: "YOUR KPI IS TO MAKE ME LOOK GOOD".

 RULE NO 1: NO NAMES. ITS THE TIMES WE LIVE IN

 

Talk is Mata Beliak recently called for a retreat of sorts with senior management at a five-star hotel. There were about 40 senior managers present. In the meeting she told them that her term could end in about 12 - 18 months. So she told them that their KPI from now until then was to make her look good so that she gets to run again.  "YOUR KPI IS TO MAKE ME LOOK GOOD".

The Chief of Staff then asked her how would such a KPI be measured? Will it be by the number of newspaper reports about her etc? Of course dumbo could not answer. 

My Comments:

• This is a very serious matter. 
• The KPIs must be precisely measurable.
• Should the newspaper reports be on the front pages or on page 27?
• Would it be a single column news or double column report etc? 
• And in which newspaper? 
• The Wall Street Journal or the Bangla Daily Banger? 
• KPIs must be precise.
