THE simplest of traffic law compliance goes a long way towards ensuring everyone’s safety on the road. At times we might question the hefty fine imposed on people who used the phone while driving.
Or if it is such a big deal to drink while driving. People usually think it is cool to break the law until they break some innocent lives on the road.
Take for example, this horrific video where a lorry driver caused the death of one motorists just because he used the wrong signal light.

The brief but revealing video showed the lorry driver swerving into the left lane although it was clear the right signal was being engaged.
Looks deceiving and shortly after, a bike that came at a moderate speed crashed into the underside of the lorry, killing one of the riders.
Life can end in a blink of an eye and this video personifies this statement. The video post has since received over 2,900 shares and 157 comments.
According to netizen @BruhGusGus, the lorry driver and the motorist are both at fault.

Some pointed towards the lorry being responsible while others advised motorists to drive defensively to avoid such a tragedy.

“Since a long time ago when there is a junction, I will let the big vehicles go first, and watch my distance with the lorry. For me, every driver has the potential to kill me,” said a prudent @jangzuki.
Then there was @zarawdrf wondering how the collision would result in fatality since the motorcyclist was not going at a very fast pace.

Towards his comment, a netizen replied that an impact to the head might have caused the death, or likely, the rider broke his neck.
Also, @HitsunaK83338 said this was not an isolated case. “There’s a lot of lorries and buses that turns in the opposite direction that they signal. It is getting out of hand,” he added.
Finally, @zarr_elmm came to provide some update, stating that the victims were a husband and wife. The husband died while the wife was hospitalised. According to him, an unverified source, the lady broke her leg and was rendered unconscious during the accident. — Focus Malaysia
