Negeri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad says the incidents are believed to have stemmed from a personal dispute between the victims and an alleged unlicensed moneylender.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad said the two incidents, which occurred at about 1am, were believed to be related.
He said initial investigations indicated the motive could be a personal dispute between the victims and a suspect, believed to be an unlicensed moneylender, Bernama reported.
“Investigations found that the incident was not motivated by religious hatred by any individual, but rather was aimed at pressuring the victims to settle their debts.
“Police also believe the suspect is the same individual who had previously splashed paint at the shop,” he said in a statement.
Alzafny urged anyone with information about the incidents to contact the police and warned the public against spreading false information or making statements that could disturb public order. - FMT
