Who said sleeping on the job is a bad thing? Mattress company draws attention with unusual ad

LET’S FACE the truth that everyone’s hobby is sleeping. There is no greater luxury than waking up in the morning fully rested, without the presence of an alarm clock.

The question, however, remains. Is there such a thing as a job that pays you to do the one thing you love the most?

Sounds too good to be true. But the same cannot be said for an Indonesian mattress company which is grabbing attention lately for its very unique form of advertisement.

In a video post by netizen @Rainmaker1973, a man could be seen sound asleep on a mattress inside a  truck with a transparent carriage.

For maximum cinematic effect, the truck is then driven around for public viewing.

We suppose this is some high quality mattress for the man to sleep soundly right in the middle of a heavy traffic, not forgetting all the unwanted attention.

“Do they need new hires?” said netizen @big_bancos in the comment section. He is undoubtedly interested in this quality job.

“I have lots of experience,” added @itsall2loud cheekily. The comments get even more hilarious from here.

“How to transfer a dead body without getting caught on broad daylight 101,” said @aniweebz, suggesting that the person might be dead.

Then there was @Churchtimesinfo being very philosophical in his response:

“This is actually smart marketing. When people see something unusual, they stop, watch, and remember it,” added another netizen.

It appears the advertisement was very effective too because @AvadxFeirm started inquiring about making a purchase.

Towards his comment, @AndaraDewantara replied that these mattresses were sold at 238.04 USD.

Here we are witnessing top tier marketing technique being applied on a product. No solid copywriting or flowery advertorial language required to promote the virtues of the mattress.

All it takes is a lazy man snoozing in a transparent truck to capture our attention. — Focus Malaysia
