Kota Kinabalu: The Bas.My Kota Kinabalu public bus service officially began operations on Wednesday (April 1), marking a significant step towards improving public transportation in the city. The initiative introduces two key routes, S01 and S05, operating from the KK Sentral Bus Terminal, with a fleet of approximately 10 buses deployed in its initial phase to serve commuters. The service is expected to provide a more affordable and reliable transportation option for residents, especially as fuel prices continue to rise due to global oil trends, offering a practical alternative for daily travel.
Bas.My also features a fully cashless payment system, supporting the Manjalink card, concession cards offering free unlimited rides for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students, as well as 30-day passes for working individuals.
In addition, payments can be made via Visa and MasterCard bank cards and DuitNow, with concession and monthly passes available exclusively to Malaysian citizens with a valid identification card. - dailyexpress
