JOHOR POLLS | Caretaker Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said a claim that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was prevented from using a public hall in Muar recently is a "huge lie".
Onn (above) dismissed the allegations made by PKR Youth chief Kamil Abdul Munim as just a strategy aimed at influencing voters.
"This is a huge lie. This is how they campaign - with lies," he told reporters when met after launching BN's machinery in Sekijang yesterday.
However, the Umno leader did not elaborate further.
Kamil - who is also Anwar's aide at the Finance Ministry - claimed on Monday that the premier was not allowed to use a hall in Sungai Balang, Muar, two weeks ago.

He demanded that the Johor government explain the reasons for this. No proof was furnished to prove this allegation.
This came a week after Onn himself claimed to have been barred from entering a Felda to carry out a state government programme.
Both Anwar and Onn's party boss, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, have denied that there was any ban against the caretaker menteri besar.
On a separate matter, Onn dismissed a report citing sources that BN's internal surveys projected that the coalition would win just 35 seats instead of 40, calling it another “huge lie”. - Mkini
