Beruas MP Ngeh tops asset declaration list with RM75 mil

The asset declaration list published on the MACC site.
PETALING JAYA: DAP’s Beruas MP Ngeh Koo Ham has declared the highest amount of assets, valued at RM75 million, according to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) asset declaration site.
He is followed by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who has accumulated assets worth RM32 million.
The MACC site also showed that Ngeh had declared assets for himself, his wife, and his children, while Mahathir had declared assets for himself and his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.
Entrepreneur Development Minister Mohd Redzuan Yusof’s accumulated assets, along with his wife’s, stood at RM23 million, while the cumulative assets of deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Raja Kamarul Bahrin and his wife and children stood at RM15.3 million.
As for Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, the cumulative declared assets for himself and his wife stood at RM14.3 million.
Checks on the site showed that most MPs declared assets for themselves, their spouses and their children.
Jeli MP Mustapa Mohamed, a former Umno leader who joined PPBM as a member last month, also declared assets belonging to him and his wife, totalling RM5 million.
The site also showed that a small proportion of Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs have yet to declare their assets.
Mahathir said previously that all members of the PH administration, including ministers, their deputies and political secretaries, were required to declare their assets to him.
The deadline for the asset declaration forms to be made public was extended a few times.

The documents were initially set to be published on Oct 1 but the date was later postponed to Oct 15, and then Nov 1. - FMT
